Iowa Legal Aid to assist ID theft victimsThrough an Equal Justice Works Crime Victims grant, Iowa Legal Aid can provide legal assistance to victims of identity theft and fraud. This includes assisting eligible clients through the process of disputing items with the credit reporting agencies. In addition, they can provide other civil legal services and victim advocacy to clients who have been victims of identity theft or fraud.
If individuals are interested in assistance they may call Iowa Legal Aid at 1-800-532-1275 Monday - Friday 9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. Also, they may stop by any Iowa Legal Aid Office Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also, you may apply online.
